Volunteer to make a positive change in the Latino community!

This spring Breathe California is partnering with SJSU’s C.H.E., and other community organizations to reduce exposure to second-hand smoke in the Latino community. Help us develop and implement new policies to protect Latinos from second-hand smoke at popular community locations and festivals. Join us by volunteering to help us make a positive change in the Latino community. For more information, contact Michelle Linares at

For Healthcare Professionals

We have posters available at no cost to hang in your office. One is for the back office to remind you to talk to your patients who smoke and the other is to hang in the waiting room to remind your patients who use tobacco to talk to you about it. We also have stickers available at no cost to put on the files of your patients who smoke so you can remember to talk with them each time they visit until they quit.

For more information about talking to your patients who smoke, visit http://www.hhs.gov/surgeongeneral/tobacco/index.html.
